Job summary

John Lewis Partnership is hiring a Transport Operator for our Aylesford distribution centre. You will help run the transport office, deputise for the Transport Section Manager when needed, and ensure KPI targets are met within budget.

Evening (£3.25/hr) and Night (£4.25/hr) premiums apply to qualifying hours, with potential for flexible hours and DBS vetting as required. The role covers full-time hours across a shift pattern, incorporating nights and weekends, with a strong focus on safety,

Qualifications

• High literacy and numeracy skills required.
• Good computer literacy and proficient with standard software.
• Solid knowledge of basic Health and Safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health and safety in the transport team is a top priority.
• Maintain good housekeeping standards.
• Ensure operation compliance with EU driving regulations and the Working Time Directive.
• Support the management team with Partners and create a development environment.
