About the role

As a Night Transport Operative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of overnight transport operations. Working within a fast-paced logistics environment, you will be responsible for coordinating driver activities, maintaining compliance with transport regulations, and ensuring timely communication with customers. Your attention to detail and proactive approach will help maintain high service standards and operational excellence throughout the night shift. This role requires you to work Monday - Friday, 22:00 - 07:00.

You will be responsible for

• Coordinating and briefing drivers at the start and end of their shifts, ensuring they have all necessary documentation and instructions for their routes.
• Monitoring and tracking deliveries in real-time using transport management systems, updating customers with accurate ETAs and resolving any delivery issues promptly.
• Handling transport administration tasks, including updating logs, processing delivery paperwork, and maintaining accurate records for compliance purposes.
• Ensuring adherence to transport regulations, including driver hours, vehicle checks, and health and safety standards.
• Liaising with internal departments and external partners to manage operational requirements, respond to last-minute changes, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

About you

You’re a reliable and proactive individual with a strong sense of responsibility and a passion for keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. While previous experience in a transport or logistics environment is preferred, it’s not essential — what matters most is your willingness to learn and your commitment to delivering excellent service. You thrive in a team setting, remain calm under pressure, and are confident making sound decisions during busy periods. Your communication skills, attention to detail, and flexible approach make you a valuable asset to any night operation.
