Gist is hiring a Transport Coordinator for night shifts in Cumbernauld. You will coordinate night-time transport operations, dispatch drivers, and support the Transport Shift Manager to keep the operation running smoothly.

Role requires experience in fast-paced FMCG transport, strong communication with drivers, and good IT skills including Kronos. The position offers a competitive salary and a night shift premium, with a 38-hour week from 20:00 to 06:00 and a 4-from-7 pattern.

Formación

• Experience in transport/logistics or distribution operation.
• Experience in a Transport Coordinator/Administrator/Planner role.
• Ability to communicate with drivers and allocate work.
• Supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Excellent organisation skills and ability to prioritise tasks in a busy environment.
• Strong attention to detail and calm under pressure.
• Good IT skills including Kronos and MS Office; familiarity with transport/workforce systems.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate the night transport operation to ensure vehicles and drivers are dispatched safely, efficiently and on time.
• Act as the first point of contact for drivers and provide support/resolve issues.
• Brief and debrief drivers with accurate operational information.
• Monitor live routes and respond to delays, supporting service recovery.
• Support the Shift Manager with day-to-day transport operation.
• Manage driver allocation and ensure resources are used effectively.
• Assist with return-to-work conversations and driver supervision.
• Maintain legal compliance including Operator Licence requirements and transport documentation.
• Complete payroll administration, Kronos exceptions, holiday administration and other transport office tasks.
• Collaborate with Transport, Warehouse and Planning teams for a seamless operation.
