Job summary

XPO is hiring a Night Transport Operator to join our Widnes site on a full-time, permanent basis. You will work nights, coordinating drivers, vehicles and subcontractors, and handling daily SHARP de-briefs and POD processes.

The role requires strong organisational skills, good communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure. Training is provided for transport systems and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Experience in a transport or logistics office environment preferred.
• Strong organisational skills with multitasking ability.
• Confident with transport systems and Microsoft Office.
• Good communication with drivers, subcontractors and customers.

Responsibilities

• Allocate drivers, vehicles and subcontractors to loads when the plan is issued.
• Calculate subcontractor rates and issue load details via email.
• Plan and coordinate backhauls where required.
• De-brief drivers in SHARP daily.
• De-brief subcontractor loads in SHARP after PODs are received.
• De-brief night trunk operations daily.
• Maintain and chase POD backlogs where applicable.
• Keep the POD log up to date and chase outstanding PODs.
• Deal with customer delivery queries and admin duties.
