Job summary

Compass Fostering in Cottingham is seeking a dedicated Night Family Support Worker to provide essential support in a Residential Family Assessment Centre. The role is integral in monitoring Parent & Child placements and ensuring safety throughout the night.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience in relevant settings, strong safeguarding knowledge, and excellent communication skills to effectively assist families in complex situations. Competitive salary up to £28,600 along with training opportunities and additional benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in relevant settings.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding practices.
• Ability to communicate effectively in challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide support in a residential setting for Parent & Child placements.
• Monitor safety of families and CCTV overnight.
• Work with a multi-disciplinary team to achieve positive outcomes.

Skills

At least 2 years’ experience in a Children’s Residential, Early Years or Children’s Social Care setting

Knowledge and experience of safeguarding

Effective communication in complex situations

Education

Level 3 – Health & Social Care (Child/Young People or Parent & Child)
