Job summary

Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust is seeking an Out of Hours Bed Manager to coordinate safe, timely admissions into acute psychiatric beds across Kent and Medway, during night shifts (8pm–8:30am). You will lead urgent admissions, collaborate with community teams, and support bed flow across UECCC, ensuring the right bed at the right time.

The role requires strong communication, ability to manage night-time pathways, and mentoring staff to uphold the Purposeful Admission

Responsibilities

• Guide the urgent and emergency admission process during the night.
• Collaborate with community colleagues and external providers to streamline patient pathways.
• Facilitate multi-professional conference calls to expedite admission planning.
• Mentor and develop staff to ensure a consistent, high-quality approach to patient flow.
