Job summary

Salvation Army Homes is seeking a dedicated nights support worker for Graham House in North Somerset to provide trauma-informed, 24/7 support to young people aged 16+. The role includes 13 hours of direct support weekly plus overnight sleep-in shifts on a rolling rota.

You will help residents with tenancy training, education and employment, while maintaining safeguarding, careful record-keeping and collaborative service development with the wider team.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience and passion for supporting young people.
• Strong desire to improve the lives of young people.
• Experience of a variety of software systems.
• Values-driven approach aligned to our mission.
• Ability to work flexibly to cover a 24/7 rota as part of our team.
• A current UK driving licence, access to a car and willingness to travel to other sites in North Somerset as required.
• Willingness to complete SAH core training and induction programme within agreed timescales.
• Willingness to attend continued training both internal and external training and travel to accommodate.

Responsibilities

• Working with us to ensure we meet Ofsted Standards for our supported housing services.
• Working with us to meet the needs of our young people.
• Ensuring that all safeguarding concerns are responded to appropriately and actions taken to safeguard our residents and manage risks.
• Supporting us in the co production of our service development.
• Keeping concise electronic records on a variety of databases and systems.
