Job summary

You Matter is seeking a Night Support Assistant to join the Night Support Team, delivering trauma-informed, client-centered support to residents in a housing environment. The role emphasizes safe, empathetic engagement and collaboration with the team to promote independence and wellbeing.

Hours are 38.6 per week with 4 on/4 off shifts in a permanent role. You will assist with room management, records, and risk assessments while adhering to safety and confidentiality policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year’s hostel/homeless services experience
• Knowledge of safeguarding protocols and Health & Safety
• NVQ/L2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent, IT literate

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the Night Support Team to provide accommodation-based support
• Support clients in a trauma-informed environment
• Assist with room checks and reporting health and safety issues
• Input and maintain electronic records and rent payments
• Support with medication procedures as required
• Conduct nightly welfare checks and incidents reporting
