Job summary

Mysa Care in Farnborough is seeking a compassionate Night Support Worker to join our new service supporting individuals with trauma and mental health needs. You will promote independence, provide practical and emotional support, and use the trauma-informed model to tailor care.

No sponsorship and comprehensive training are provided. Roles involve evening, night, and weekend shifts to support individuals in the community while safeguarding and promoting their wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role is desirable - further training will be given.
• A positive, proactive, and patient attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage challenging situations with empathy and professionalism.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of vulnerable individual.

Responsibilities

• Build trusting relationships with individuals to create a safe, supportive environment.
• Provide practical support with daily living, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
• Implement individualised support plans and positive behaviour strategies.
• Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours calmly and professionally.
• Promote community inclusion by supporting individuals in social, leisure, and educational activities.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to reviews of care plans.
• Work collaboratively with families, caregivers, and other professionals.
