Job summary

Witherslack Group is seeking a Night Support Worker to care for children and young people in our homes during waking nights (4 on / 4 off). The role involves building rapport, ensuring safety, and supporting day-to-day needs, with induction and ongoing development within a supportive team.

You’ll start with a four-week Care Academy, enjoy a competitive base salary with attendance bonus, and generous holiday allowance.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence held for 12 months or more.
• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) - WG will fund study if not held.
• No prior experience required; we value attitude, empathy and resilience.

Responsibilities

• Care for children and young people through the night, ensuring safety and wellbeing.
• Build rapport and trust during moments of need for each young person.
• Perform quieter-time duties: paperwork, cleaning and laundry.
