Job summary

Witherslack Group is seeking Night Support Workers (NSO) in Kendal to care for children and young people with SEMH needs during the night. You will be part of a team that supports their day-to-day life and helps them regain childhood through stable, compassionate care.

The role offers a 4-week Care Academy induction, extensive wellbeing and benefits, a generous holiday allowance, and opportunities for progression within the group.

Qualifications

• Can-do attitude and empathy are essential for night-time support.
• Resilience to handle challenging situations and build trust with young people.
• Willingness to study and develop through our Care Academy.

Responsibilities

• Care for young people during the night, providing support during trauma, illness, or trouble sleep.
• Build rapport and be a trusted presence in times of need.
• Carry out home duties such as paperwork, cleaning and laundry when quieter.
