Job summary

The Wallich in Aberystwyth is seeking a dedicated night-time housing support worker to supervise three projects and ensure quiet, safe occupancy.

You will respond to disturbances and emergencies, provide ad-hoc resident support, assist with lone-working and out-of-hours planning, and work as part of a broader team; Enhanced DBS is required.

• Provide ad-hoc support to residents in response to demand.

Hours of Work: Average of 37.5 per week, 8 pm to 7:30 am, 3 on 3 off

Project Description

The project is located in Aberystwyth and works with homeless men and women aged 18+ with complex needs. The service provides residential support with the aim of meeting individuals’ needs, which promote independence and lead to a sustainable move-on.

Purpose of Role

To provide a proactive night time presence across 3 projects to promote quiet and peaceful occupation of its residents/visitors. To respond to disturbances, emergencies and other housing management functions according to procedure and provide ad-hoc support to residents in response to demand. To assist with the organisations lone working and arrangement of out of hours resources. To operate as part of a broader support team.

This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS disclosure.
