Job summary

The Wallich is seeking a night-time residential support worker for the Swansea project, working to promote a quiet and safe environment for single homeless men aged 25+. The role involves responding to disturbances, emergencies and housing management tasks, with out-of-hours resource coordination and lone-working responsibilities.

The position is fixed-term for 6 months, with a rolling 37.5-hour week schedule.

• Respond to disturbances, emergencies and housing management issues according to procedure; provide ad-hoc support to residents as demand requires.
• Assist with lone working arrangements and out-of-hours resource coordination.

Hours of Work: Average of 37.5 hours per week, 2 week rolling rota

Week 1:19.45- 07.15am (Monday, Tuesday, Friday & Saturday)

Week 2:19.00-07.15am (Wednesday, Thursday & Friday)

Contract : Fixed term for 6 months

Project Description

The project is located in Swansea and works with single, homeless men aged 25+. The service provides residential support with the aim of meeting individuals’ needs, which promote independence and lead to a sustainable move-on.

Purpose of Role

To provide a proactive night time presence within the project to promote quiet and peaceful occupation of its residents/visitors. To respond to disturbances, emergencies and other housing management functions according to procedure and provide ad-hoc support to residents in response to demand. To assist with the organisations lone working and arrangement of out of hours resources.

This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS disclosure.

We are not utilising agencies with this role and kindly ask that agencies do not approach to assist us with this vacancy.
