Job summary

The Wallich is a leading homelessness charity operating in Wales, providing residential support to young people in Maesteg and Bridgend. This night-shift role focuses on maintaining a safe, quiet environment and responding to emergencies within the project.

The role requires Enhanced DBS disclosure, a valid driving licence and use of your own vehicle. 37.5 hours per week on a 3-on/3-off rota (19:00–07:00); closing date 23 September 2026; interview date 25 September 2026.

Project Description

The projects operate in Maesteg and Bridgend working with young people (18-21). The service provides residential support with the aim of meeting individuals' needs, which promote independence and lead to a sustainable move-on.

Purpose of Role

To provide a proactive night time presence within the projects to promote quiet and peaceful occupation of its residents/visitors. To respond to disturbances, emergencies and other housing management functions according to procedure and provide ad-hoc support to residents in response to demand. To assist with the organisations lone working and arrangement of out of hours resources.

This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS disclosure.

Please note: Driving Licence and use of own vehicle is essential
