Job summary

Voyage Care in Brentwood, Essex is seeking Night Support Workers to provide overnight assistance and companionship. The role includes encouraging independence, ensuring safety, and supporting individuals with personal care needs during night hours.

Typical shifts run 10:00pm–8:00am, including weekends and bank holidays on a rota. A range of benefits is available, with enhanced pay on evenings and weekends and access to wellbeing resources.

Qualifications

• Hold a full UK driving licence.
• Be resilient, flexible, and calm in your approach.
• Have experience following Positive Behaviour Support plans.
• Be confident in reflective practice.
• Have experience supporting individuals with behaviours of distress, mental health conditions, autism, forensic histories or trauma backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Providing support and reassurance throughout the night.
• Assisting with personal care where required.
• Completing regular welfare and safety checks.
• Supporting individuals who may wake during the night.
• Maintaining accurate records and handovers.
• Promoting independence while ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
