Job summary

Airbus Wing Analysis Engineering Team at Broughton, UK, is seeking a Stress Engineer for night shifts. You will be based near the wing assembly lines, contributing to the production of wings for major programmes and gaining direct visibility of the product.

The role involves static structural analysis of composite and metallic structures, validation for FDT, and ensuring airworthiness. A signatory/approval background is preferred, with BPSS+ clearance arranged by Airbus.

Qualifications

• Essential: Stress signatory/approval status, ideally including T400 Concessions Approval
• Essential: An aviation background with knowledge of Airbus
• Desirable: Experience with other aircraft types, including military aircraft, or related product knowledge

Responsibilities

• Perform static structural analysis on both composite and metallic structures
• Analyse and validate metallic, composite and hybrid structures at component level for static strength and fatigue & damage tolerance (FDT)
• Provide stress analyses to support the repair and acceptance of metallic, composite and hybrid structures
• Ensure airworthiness requirements are met across aircraft structures
