Job summary

Asda Stores Ltd in Bolton is seeking a Night Manager to lead the night team and keep operations running while the store is closed to the general public. You will oversee all departments, ensure best availability and high shop floor standards, and maintain a safe, legal environment 24 hours.

The role requires experience supervising retail teams, a hands-on approach, flexibility for night shifts (including weekends), and a focus on delivering strong customer service and efficient processes.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising or managing teams in a retail grocery environment, ideally overnight.
• Ability to make decisions independently with a hands-on attitude and a drive to improve processes and people.
• Confidence in developing teams and managing change.
• Strong customer service focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach the night team to achieve high shopfloor standards.
• Oversee all store operations during the night, ensuring safety and legal compliance.
• Drive trading activity, manage waste and returns, and minimise losses.
• Ensure promotions and hot spots are in place for trade before day shift.
• Work with the leadership team to sustain availability and KPI delivery.
