Job summary

The City of Edinburgh Council is seeking Social Care Assistants (Nights) to support residents across City-wide care homes. A full-time, 36-hour week role with salary in the £26k range offers generous pension and extensive staff benefits.

No previous social care experience is required, just values like respect, kindness and a commitment to learning. You will help residents with personal care, meals and daily living activities, while developing SVQ qualifications and joining professional bodies

Qualifications

• No prior experience required in Adult Social Care.
• Values-driven approach with respect, kindness and empathy.
• Willingness to learn and develop care skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care such as bathing, dressing and meals.
• Support residents to maintain independence and dignity.
• Assist with medication administration as required and under supervision.
