The City of Edinburgh Council is recruiting Social Care Assistants (Days) to work in City Wide care homes in Edinburgh. The role involves supporting adults with personal care and daily living, in a respectful and dignified manner.

No previous care experience required; training and SVQ progression are available. Salary ranges from £26,806 to £27,032 for 36 hours per week, with good holiday entitlement and a generous pension scheme.

Qualifications

• No previous experience in Adult Social Care required.
• Demonstrates respect, listening, empathy, commitment and kindness.
• Willingness to complete PVG checks and mandatory training.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care such as bathing, dressing, meals and medication.
• Support residents to live independently with dignity and respect.
• Attend to residents' needs and participate in our safeguarding processes.
