Job summary

The City of Edinburgh Council is recruiting Social Care Assistants (Days) to support residents across Edinburgh’s care homes city wide.

Working 36 hours per week with a starting salary in the £26k–£27k range, this role emphasizes dignity, respect and compassionate care. No prior experience in Adult Social Care is required; training and development are provided, including SVQ qualifications and PVG checks.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required in Adult Social Care.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care such as bathing, dressing and meals.
• Support residents to live independently and with dignity.
• Follow care plans and report changes to supervisors.
