Job description

We are seeking a motivated mechanic or service engineer to join our depot in East London. This role is ideal for experienced powered access engineers, car mechanics, electrical engineers, or similar professionals looking for a new challenge.

As a Night Shift Workshop Service Engineer with Nationwide Platforms, you will inspect, repair, and maintain our fleet of powered access machines, such as booms and scissor lifts. Full training will be provided. The shift runs Monday to Thursday, 6pm to 6am, with breaks.

Responsibilities include:

• Supporting the Night Shift Workshop Manager in depot operations.
• Carrying out pre-delivery inspections (PDI) and repairs to ensure safety and compliance.
• Completing planned maintenance and maintaining vehicle appearance.
• Providing excellent customer care and professionalism.
• Accurately completing reports and updating system statuses.

About you:

• Relevant maintenance qualification and experience in a workshop environment.
• Experience in diesel engineering, auto electrics, hydraulics, or diagnostics.
• A mature outlook, good prioritization, and customer service skills.
