Job summary

GXO is seeking a First Line Manager to lead a team in a highly automated distribution centre in Crick. You will coach and develop warehouse operatives, coordinate inbound, picking, packing and dispatch, and drive safety, performance and continuous improvement to meet service targets.

The role is full-time, permanent with a Friday to Monday night shift (21:00–07:00). Salary up to £37,453 per year plus a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in fast-paced logistics, warehousing or distribution.
• Excellent communication to motivate and influence teams.
• Strong knowledge of WMS and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of warehouse operatives to achieve operational targets and service excellence.
• Coordinate daily activities across inbound, picking, packing and dispatch operations.
• Manage performance, quality and productivity through regular reviews and KPI monitoring.
• Drive a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards and maintaining housekeeping practices.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, workforce planning and efficient resource allocation to achieve cost, quality and delivery objectives.
