Job summary

Irlam associates Group is seeking a Night Shift Supervisor to lead our Sunderland warehouse night operations. You will supervise a team of ~10 shunters, ensuring picking and dispatch are safe, efficient and on time.

This permanent, full-time role runs 20:00–04:00, Sunday to Thursday, with a hands-on leadership style and a strong emphasis on health and safety compliance and smooth shift handovers.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising teams in warehouse/distribution/logistics environments.
• Ability to manage workload and shift priorities.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the night shift warehouse operation.
• Manage and support a team of approximately 10 shunters.
• Oversee all picking and dispatch activity throughout the shift.
• Allocate workloads and ensure daily operational requirements are achieved.
• Ensure goods are picked, prepared and dispatched accurately and on time.
• Monitor productivity and address operational issues or delays.
• Maintain high standards of health & safety and operational compliance.
• Ensure an effective handover between shifts.
• Support the wider transport and warehouse operation where required.
