Job summary

Angling Direct in the UK presents an exciting opportunity at its Rackheath Distribution Centre for a Night Shift Warehouse Supervisor. You will oversee the evening warehousing activities, drive production, productivity, quality and customer service standards, and lead by example to motivate the team on shift.

This role covers a Monday to Friday pattern from 19:30 to 06:00, reporting to the Warehouse Manager and collaborating with other departments to ensure safe, accurate and timely goods

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse operations and supervision.
• Experience leading a team and coordinating shifts.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction for warehouse evening staff, ensuring they are cross trained wherever possible.
• Measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities and staff performance.
• Communicate job expectations and coach staff.
• Determine staffing levels and assign workload.
• Ensure shipments’ and inventory transactions’ accuracy for both goods in and dispatch.
• Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices in collaboration with the warehouse manager.
• Comply with all relevant Health and Safety legislation and regulation.
• Continually seek improvement in every aspect of the position and warehouse functions.
• Other relevant duties as assigned.
