Winner Recruitment is recruiting a Temporary Sort Manager for our client’s global parcel operation in the West Midlands (Oldbury/Smethwick area). You will lead a hands-on team of 20–40, manage breaks, throughput and KPI achievement, and oversee loading doors, incidents and health & safety.

The role requires flexibility for nights, full UK right to work, DBS checks, and a full UK driving licence with travel between Oldbury and Smethwick.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory/management experience in parcel, logistics, warehouse or similar.
• Strong communication and people‑management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and multitask.
• Experience working to KPIs and operational targets.
• Good IT skills, including Google Sheets.
• Full UK driving licence, with flexibility to travel between Oldbury and Smethwick.
• Flexible approach to working hours and changing business requirements.
• DBS and pre‑employment checks will be required.
• No criminal history - DBS checks will be required if successful.
• Must have full time Right to Work.

Pay: £15.01 per hour + £15 daily bonus
Nights, typically starting between 5:00 PM-6:00 PM
4 months ongoing

You will lead a team of approximately 20-40 people, ensuring the smooth flow of parcels, strong performance and achievement of strict KPIs. This is a hands‑on role in a fast-paced environment, with responsibility for workforce management, workforce breaks, trailer doors, incidents, compliance and health & safety.
