Job summary

DPD UK is seeking an experienced Shift Manager for night operations at our Nottingham depot. You will lead a team of warehouse operatives, ensuring engagement, organisation and safe, efficient unloading of incoming lorries and accurate parcel sortation to meet KPIs.

Ideal candidates have proven people-management experience in fast-paced environments, strong communication, and robust data reporting and analysis skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast paced operation with demonstrable people management experience.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to inspire, motivate and manage a team.
• Decisive and effective decision-making, problem resolution and time management skills.
• Demonstrate high levels of resilience, self-motivation and flexibility.
• Excellent computer skills with the ability to use Google Chrome applications.
• The ability to do comprehensive reporting, alongside analysis of data is a key requirement for this role.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of warehouse operatives during night shift to ensure engagement, organisation and motivation.
• Oversee unloading of lorries and ensure efficient, timely depot operations.
• Sort parcels accurately to meet KPIs and depot targets.
• Ensure CAD % and depot throughput targets are achieved.
• Support health, safety, productivity and cost objectives to deliver outstanding customer service.
• Resourcing additional staff at short notice during absences.
