Job summary

Romac Logistics Ltd. is seeking an experienced Warehouse Night Shift Manager in Chesterfield to lead the night team and oversee a 4 on 4 off schedule in our chilled warehouse operation.

The role focuses on safety, efficiency and meeting service levels across inbound and outbound activities. You will manage labour, drive KPIs, and coordinate with Planning, Transport and Customer Services to ensure smooth handovers and timely dispatches.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Warehouse Shift Manager or similar leadership role.
• Experience in chilled, FMCG, food distribution or high-volume logistics advantageous.
• Strong people-management skills and ability to drive performance.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety and warehouse compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Own the warehouse operation during the night shift, ensuring targets are met.
• Complete handovers at shift start and end, highlighting performance and risks.
• Brief and allocate workload to Team Leaders and Operatives.
• Produce end-of-shift reports and required management information.
• Conduct regular safety walk-rounds and ensure tasks are completed safely.
• Ensure dispatch times align with Transport; protect service levels.
• Track inbound stock and communicate potential impacts on operations.
• Re-plan activity as needed and perform root-cause analysis for over-planned journeys.
