Job summary

GXO Logistics in Hemel Hempstead is seeking a Warehouse Shift Manager to lead a high‑performing shift of around 30 colleagues and drive operational excellence on a 37.5 hour, Sunday to Thursday night schedule.

You will take full responsibility for day‑to‑day warehouse operations, develop your team, uphold safety standards and report insights to senior management, while delivering targets for our customer, Cormar Carpets.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Warehouse Shift Manager in a large, fast-paced warehouse.
• Ability to plan, organise and prioritise conflicting priorities.
• Strong people skills to lead and develop a team.

Responsibilities

• Take full operational responsibility for the day-to-day running of the warehouse on your shift.
• Lead, motivate and develop your team to achieve targets.
• Identify areas for development and recognise success.
• Maintain a positive team culture and drive employee engagement.
• Promote health and safety through visible leadership and compliance.
• Communicate with senior management providing updates.
