Job summary
Lineage in Heywood is seeking a hands-on Night Shift Manager to lead a team in a large automated cold storage operation. You will drive performance, safety, and on-time dispatch in a demanding 19:00–07:00 shift.
You\'ll manage labour, monitor targets, and coach staff, ensuring orders are picked and loaded accurately for schools, hospitals, prisons, and restaurants. This permanent role offers development within a global logistics leader, with a chance to advance and contribute to feeding
Qualifications
- Experience as Warehouse Team Leader/Supervisor/Shift Manager.
- Experience in fast-paced warehouse/logistics or food supply.
- Hands-on leadership and safety focus.
- Strong people management and coaching skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of warehouse operatives, driving performance.
- Provide hands-on support during busy periods.
- Monitor productivity, accuracy, service levels and attendance.
- Oversee de-picking, order assembly, loading and dispatch.
- Plan labour and allocate resources to meet demand.
- Ensure safe working practices and health & safety compliance.
- Produce shift reports and ensure effective handovers.
