Job summary

Lineage Logistics Heywood site is seeking a Night Shift Manager to drive performance and maintain high standards. You’ll lead a hands-on team, ensuring orders are picked, packed and dispatched accurately and on time in a fast-paced, temperature-controlled warehouse environment.

You will mentor and develop staff, manage labor resources, and uphold safety and compliance across the shift, delivering continuous improvement and strong service levels for schools, hospitals, and other customers.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Warehouse Team Leader, Supervisor, or Shift Manager.
• Experience in fast-paced warehouse, logistics or food supply chain operations.
• Hands-on leadership style with ability to coach and develop staff.
• Strong health and safety awareness and commitment to continuous improvement.
• WMS experience desirable; MHE licences advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of warehouse operatives.
• Monitor productivity, accuracy, service levels and attendance.
• Coach and develop individuals and the wider team.
• Oversee de-picking, order assembly, packing, loading and dispatch.
• Plan labour and allocate resources to meet changing demand.
• Ensure orders are picked accurately and dispatched on time.
• Promote health and safety culture and site compliance.
• Provide clear shift reports and handovers.
