Job summary

InPost UK is seeking a Warehouse Shift Manager to lead our Newton Abbot warehouse team, ensuring efficient daily operations and high-quality service. You will drive productivity, manage rosters, and deliver continuous improvements while maintaining safety and policy compliance.

You’ll report to the shift Operations Manager and oversee handovers, cross-team collaboration, and performance against KPIs. This role requires strong people leadership and excellent communication in a dynamic logistics

Qualifications

• Experience in fast-paced Warehouse, Distribution or Logistics environments.
• Proven track record in leading teams and driving performance KPIs.
• Calm, focused approach under pressure with strong decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a warehouse team to meet productivity targets and deadlines.
• Forecast staffing needs, manage rotas and annual leave to stay fully staffed.
• Own warehouse processes such as labelling, sortation and overall productivity.
• Deliver clear handover reports to the incoming Shift Manager for seamless transitions.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations across the business.
• Uphold company policies and safety standards at all times.
• Promote a strong safety culture and regulatory compliance.
