Job summary

InPost UK Preston, England is seeking a Warehouse Manager (Nights) to lead the day-to-day operations of our Preston warehouse, manage a dedicated night shift team, and drive on-time parcel processing.

You will plan staffing levels, optimise labelling and sortation, and ensure safety training and high-quality standards while meeting deadlines and KPIs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in fast-paced distribution or logistics.
• Proven people-management track record.
• Strong KPI delivery and process improvement.
• Calm under pressure with deadline discipline.
• Proficient with common software and systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the night shift team to meet productivity targets and deadlines.
• Forecast and plan staffing, rosters and annual leave for full coverage.
• Optimise labelling, sortation and warehouse productivity while maintaining quality.
• Provide a comprehensive hand-over report to the next Shift Manager for seamless operations.
• Induct new staff and provide ongoing training to staff and contractors for safe, effective performance.
• Ensure staff complete Health & Safety training and work in a safe environment.
