Job summary

Whitworths is seeking a confident Warehouse Front Line Manager to lead the night-shift team at our busy food-manufacturing site. You will manage Team Leaders, Warehouse Operatives and Administrators, ensuring safe, accurate and efficient goods flow.

This hands-on role requires coaching, decision-making and a proactive approach to continuous improvement. Ideal candidates will have at least two years at Team Leader level in warehousing, solid WMS familiarity, and strong planning and communication

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience at Team Leader level or above in a warehouse.
• Experience with warehouse management systems and stock-control processes.
• Strong communication, organisation and planning skills.
• Coaching style and focus on developing others.
• Ability to use KPIs to drive performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop the night-shift team with clear direction and feedback.
• Manage warehouse activity to hit safety, service, quality and productivity targets.
• Deliver shift briefings, handovers and performance updates.
• Ensure stock movements and inventory accuracy.
• Maintain high food safety, health and safety standards.
• Oversee safe use of material-handling equipment and pre-shift checks.
• Plan labour with approved agency partners when needed.
• Manage attendance, performance, and development fairly.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Operations and wider business.
• Identify opportunities to simplify processes and improve ways of working.
