Job summary

XPO TRANSPORT SOLUTIONS UK LIMITED in Leicester is looking for an experienced Vehicle Maintenance Workshop Supervisor to lead our night-shift team on a 4 on 4 off schedule. You will ensure fleet maintenance, plan workload and supervise technicians to minimise downtime.

Reporting to Workshop Manager, you will manage job cards, service schedules, warranty processing, and compliance with QHSE standards while coordinating with external contractors as needed.

Qualifications

• Qualified and experienced in commercial vehicle maintenance.
• Supervisory experience within a workshop environment.
• Strong understanding of operator licence and legislative requirements.
• Experience working with suppliers and external contractors.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily workshop operations, including workload planning and technician productivity.
• Ensure high-quality maintenance and repair work, including service inspections and MOT preparation.
• Manage job cards and service schedules.
• Control parts spend, ordering and justification.
• Deputise for the Workshop Manager when required.
• Ensure warranty work is captured and processed correctly.
• Oversee QHSE best practice and compliance with legislation.
• Handle breakdowns and external sub-contracting when necessary.
• Manage absence processes, return-to-work interviews, and day-to-day people supervision.
