Job summary

UPS Supply Chain Solutions, Inc. in the United Kingdom is seeking a Shipping Associate to oversee import and export shipments into and out of the UK, ensuring timely, compliant processing under Marken UK operations.

You will prepare documents, enter data in systems, coordinate with brokers and carriers, monitor status, and respond to inquiries while maintaining accurate electronic records.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Strong data entry and typing skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong problem-solving and accuracy.
• Night shift working, 7pm–7am, 4 on 4 off.
• Previous experience in logistics/shipping/import-export preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and process import and export shipping documentation.
• Enter data into transportation management systems and customer databases.
• Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, carriers, and warehouses.
• Monitor shipment status and provide updates to customers and internal teams.
• Identify discrepancies and escalate issues to supervisors.
• Maintain organized electronic records and filing systems.
• Assist with reports, forms, and shipment records as required.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and import/export laws.
