Job summary

Bakeri Baltzersen in Harrogate is seeking an experienced Transport and Dispatch Coordinator to lead our delivery operation, supervise drivers and coordinate a small fleet of eight vans. The role blends packing, driving, dispatch, and fleet oversight in a hands-on, night-shift friendly environment.

You will work closely with the Logistics Manager to ensure orders are packed, loaded and delivered safely, on time, and with clear service updates to customers.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport, delivery, distribution or logistics.
• Experience supervising or leading drivers or teams.
• Ability to plan routes and schedules.
• Hands-on and willing to work night shifts.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Pack products during the first 2-3 hours of each shift.
• Coordinate daily delivery schedules and dispatch drivers.
• Lead the driver team and monitor performance.
• Maintain vehicle records and check fleet health.
• Ensure safety, efficiency and on-time deliveries.
• Handle route optimization and issue resolution.
