• £30,598 Per annum (Excluding a 20% shift allowance (£36,718 in total))
• 01:00am - 09:30am
• 40 hours per week
• Permanent role
• Please note this role is overnight

Role overview

In this role, our Night Shift Manager plays a key role in driving the success of the operation. Leading a team of dynamic Warehouse Operatives, both employed and agency, you'll look after our people and processes to ensure everything works perfectly.

What you'll be doing

The success of the night shift depends on the Night Manager. You will ensure high performance, KPI achievement, and service level compliance. You will oversee the smooth entry, sorting, and handover of parcels to the AM Team the next morning.

You will be accountable for overall performance, resource management, budget control, and cost reduction. You will set high standards, resolve issues, plan shift rotations, and handle unexpected situations like late trailers. You will motivate and inspire your team, fostering a positive and productive environment.

What you need to show us

This role is challenging but rewarding. You should demonstrate effective relationship building, excellent communication, quick problem-solving skills, and the ability to train and motivate a versatile workforce. Experience in warehouse and distribution within a parcel environment is preferred. Managing change and continuous improvement are key. Ideally, you hold a Level 3 Team Leader / Management NVQ or higher.
