Job summary

Changing Lives is seeking a Nightshift Support Worker (Waking Nights) to ensure the safety and wellbeing of women and children in the refuge during the night. The role provides a supportive presence, responding to emergencies, safeguarding concerns, and practical needs while maintaining a calm environment.

Due to the women-only environment, this position is open to female applicants only in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.

Qualifications

• Female applicants only due to the service setting.
• Enhanced DBS check required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety, security and wellbeing of residents during night shifts.
• Respond to emergencies, safeguarding concerns and practical needs while maintaining a calm environment.
• Carry out essential housing management tasks, record-keeping and handover for continuity of care.
