Job summary

Linde AMT UK Limited is seeking a Shift Supervisor (nights) in Swindon to lead shift operations, ensuring safety, quality, and achievement of production targets. You will drive continuous improvement, coach the team, and collaborate with Maintenance, Quality and Planning to optimise plant performance.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, effective communication, and a good grasp of production KPIs, with a focus on minimizing downtime and delivering customer requirements.

Qualifications

• You have previous supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of production processes, safety requirements, and KPIs.
• Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement experience is desirable.
• Good time management and organisational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift operations to safely deliver production targets and customer requirements.
• Drive compliance with Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental standards.
• Manage and develop production team members through coaching, training, and feedback.
• Monitor and improve productivity, efficiency, and labour performance on the shift.
• Identify and resolve operational issues to minimise downtime and maintain output.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, and Planning teams to optimise plant performance.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve processes.
• Communicate shift performance and key issues through reporting and handovers.
