Job summary

First Fence Limited is seeking a Night Shift Supervisor to oversee replenishment, warehouse organisation and order processing, ensuring the shift runs smoothly, safely and efficiently overnight. You will lead a night team, manage stock, operate yard machinery including forklifts, and ensure accurate picking, packing and loading for morning delivery.

The role demands strong focus on safety, documentation, and problem-solving to maintain high standards across the site.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all yard activities, brief team, monitor productivity, address performance promptly.
• Ensure health and safety compliance, promote a safe environment, PPE worn at all times.
• Break down inbound stock, conduct stock counts, and receipt goods accurately using RDT systems.
• Keep the yard clean, organised, and safe by ensuring correct storage and handling of materials.
• Take full responsibility for the site during night shifts, ensuring smooth running of operations.
• Manage forklift and other yard machinery operation.
• Supervise product picking, packing and loading to ensure timely orders.
• Maintain all necessary paperwork, including manifests, delivery notes, and stock records.
• Inspect products for damage and ensure they meet quality standards.
• Provide training and development to ensure all colleagues have the necessary skills and knowledge.
• Address any issues or problems that arise in the yard. Find solutions to maintain efficient operations.
• Holding keys for the premises, secure the site and manage access.

• Ensure Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations, policies, and procedures to promote a safe working environment ensuring PPE is worn at all times.
• Manage Stock: Break down inbound stock, conduct stock counts, and receipt goods accurately using RDT systems.
• Maintain Yard Environment: Keep the yard clean, organised, and safe by ensuring correct storage and handling of materials.
• Operational Leadership: Take full responsibility for the site during night shifts, ensuring smooth running of operations.
• Oversee Equipment Operations: Manage the operation of forklift trucks and other yard machinery.
• Ensure Order Fulfilment: Supervise product picking, packing, and loading to ensure accurate and timely orders.
• Manage Documentation: Maintain all necessary paperwork, including manifests, delivery notes, and stock records.
• Conduct Quality Inspections: Inspect products for damage and ensure they meet quality standards.
