Oakland Care in Loughton is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to join our award-winning care home. You will lead a team of care staff, assist with personal care and meals, and administer medications following training to deliver high-quality, person-centred care for residents.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ care experience in a Senior Care Assistant role.
• Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification or actively working towards.
• Trained in medication administration.
• Excellent people and customer service skills.
• Ability to induct and mentor junior staff.
• Strong time management and delegation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Caring, flexible and reliable team player.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Health Care Assistants and act as a role model.
• Assist with personal care, meals and daily living tasks.
• Administer medications following training.
• Update care plans and maintain accurate records.
• Deliver person-centred care promoting dignity and wellbeing.
• Maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
• Support families and visitors.
