Job summary

Greatwood House Care Home in Denton (near Manchester) invites applications for a Senior Care Assistant on a full-time night shift. Contracted hours are 33 or 44 per week with DBS, pension and uniform provided.

You will lead a team to deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred care and manage shifts effectively. Essential: NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum) and medication administration competency; Level 3 is desirable.

Qualifications

NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum), Level 3 desirable or willingness to work towards.
Medication administration training with competency is essential.
Experience supporting or leading a care team is beneficial.

Responsibilities

As Senior Care Assistant, you will guide and support your team in delivering safe, high quality, person centred care that makes a real difference every day to our residents.
You will take responsibility for the smooth running of your shift, ensuring care is well organised, consistent and delivered to a high standard.
You will oversee medication, monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond to any changes, ensuring care remains safe and appropriate.
You will maintain accurate care records and work closely with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals to ensure clear communication and continuity of care.
