Job summary

Magherafelt Manor, part of Healthcare Ireland Group, is a modern care and nursing home in Magherafelt, County Londonderry, providing 24-hour person-centred care for older people. We are seeking a Night Shift Senior Care Assistant to lead and support care teams, assist residents with personal needs, administer medicines, and ensure safety and dignity during a 44-hour week at £13.75 per hour.

Applicants should have medications experience and real care experience; there is progression and training

Qualifications

• Medications experience within care setting.
• The Right to Work in the UK.
• GCSE/NVQ 3 or above with a good standard of English.
• Previous care experience.

Responsibilities

• Providing practical support and responsive care to residents with intimate personal needs.
• Observes and monitors residents' wellbeing and reports issues promptly.
• Monitors and allocates work for care assistants.
• Develops professional relationships with residents, colleagues and visitors.
• Responsible for the administration of medicines.
