Job summary
Sandstone Care Group's Burscough Manor Care Home is seeking a compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join the night team, delivering high-quality care through the night.
You will lead night staff, support residents with personal care, monitor wellbeing, and ensure safe, calm overnight operations. A Level 3 Health & Social Care or progression toward it is required.
Compensation includes £15.03 per hour and a £500 welcome bonus, with 33 or 44 hours per week and flexible pay options.
Qualifications
- Supervisory or leadership experience in a residential or nursing home.
- Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification (or working towards it).
- Ability to use care systems and maintain records.
- Willing to work night shifts, weekends on rota.
- Compassionate, professional approach.
Responsibilities
- Support residents with personal care, hygiene, and comfort during the night
- Provide emotional reassurance and companionship
- Monitor wellbeing and respond to changes
- Maintain records and thorough handovers
- Lead and support night staff, including supervision and training
- Liaise with healthcare professionals
- Ensure the home remains calm, safe, and well-managed overnight
