Job summary

Jonathan Lee Group is seeking a Quality Inspector for a permanent night shift role in Telford. You will read technical drawings, perform inspections, record data, and support ISO compliance.

The role requires 3 years experience in metal fabrication and proficiency with precision measuring tools, plus strong teamwork with production and engineering. The position offers a permanent night shift (Mon-Thu) with a salary between £34,000 and £37,000 per annum.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience in Sheet Metal, Metal Pressings or Fabrication sector.
• Confidence using precision measuring tools to check dimensions, fit, form and function.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with production and engineering teams and to raise issues promptly.
• Proactive attitude towards health and safety in a fabrication environment, with a drive for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Inspect production units and finished products to drawings and specifications.
• Monitor operations to ensure compliance with production standards and ISO requirements.
• Carry out inspections, testing, measurements and reporting using precision measuring tools.
• Accept or reject finished items based on quality assessments and document non-conformities.
• Support corrective actions by identifying issues and helping drive improvements with production and engineers.
• Maintain complete quality records and ensure quality checks are logged in the IMS, preparing for audits.
