Job summary

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Quality Inspector or similar in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Experience inspecting precision-machined components.
• Confident using manual measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers, bore gauges, height gauges).
• Able to work independently with high accuracy and a right-first-time approach.

Responsibilities

• Carry out dimensional and visual inspections of precision-engineered components.
• Inspect small-batch transmission components against drawings and specifications.
• Use manual measuring equipment to verify dimensional accuracy.
• Interpret drawings, GD&T, and manufacturing route cards.
• Perform bench and table inspections to ensure components meet standards.
• Identify non-conforming components and report discrepancies.
• Maintain inspection records and quality documentation.
• Ensure inspections fit production timescales.
