Randstad Delivery (GBS) is hiring a Production Technician for a night shift in Plymouth. You will operate production machinery, assemble products, and perform pallet release duties while covering breaks. The role emphasizes preventative maintenance and rapid fault resolution to keep downtime minimal.

The ideal candidate has a formal electrical/mechanical qualification or an apprenticeship, plus experience in a high-volume, automated plant and a passion for producing medical products.

Qualifications

• Formal electrical or mechanical engineering qualification or a full time-served apprenticeship.
• Experience in a high-volume, highly automated manufacturing environment.
• Strong hands-on electro-mechanical maintenance and fault-finding skills.
• Excellent communication and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
• Interest in healthcare and producing high-quality medical products.

Responsibilities

• Operate production machinery, assemble products, pallet release duties and cover breaks.
• Conduct Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and refurbish offline machinery.
• Troubleshoot electro-mechanical faults to minimize downtime within costs.
• Ensure equipment is correctly set up and monitor in-process quality.
