Job summary

BD is seeking a Production Technician in Plymouth to operate production machinery, carry out maintenance and fault finding, and ensure smooth manufacturing processes. Candidates will have electrical or mechanical engineering qualifications and experience in high-volume automated environments, with strong teamwork and communication skills to support

Qualifications

• Qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering (e.g: C&G, HND) or a time served apprenticeship.
• Experience in a high volume, highly automated manufacturing environment.
• Experience in maintenance and fault finding.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Team player who is passionate about healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Operational responsibilities include covering breaks, operating production machinery, assembling product and pallet release duties.
• Conducting Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and refurbish offline machinery.
• Attending to electro-mechanical faults, diagnosing and repairing.
• Ensuring all manufacturing equipment is set up and produces product according to standards.
• Monitoring in-process quality, addressing issues as needed to prevent product holds.
• Ensuring the minimization of downtime within planned costs for repair and spares.
