Job summary

Orion Electrotech Ltd in Reading is seeking an experienced Night Shift Supervisor to lead our manufacturing team on a 3-month contract, working nights. This hands-on role requires directing a team to meet production targets, quality standards and safety requirements.

You will motivate staff, manage shift handovers, monitor quality, support training, and ensure accurate production documentation. The role offers an immediate start and a competitive hourly rate of £17.38 for a 40-hour week.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Team Leader, Supervisor, or Line Leader role within any enviroment.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and problem-solve effectively.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety and quality procedures.
• Proactive, reliable, and able to lead by example.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and support a team of production operatives throughout the shift.
• Ensure production schedules and targets are achieved efficiently.
• Monitor product quality and address any issues promptly.
• Promote and maintain a strong Health & Safety culture.
• Conduct shift handovers and communicate effectively with other departments.
• Manage staffing levels, workflow, and line performance to maximise productivity.
• Support training and onboarding of new team members.
• Complete all relevant production documentation accurately.
