Job summary

Questech Recruitment is seeking an experienced Plater/Fabricator for a client in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. The role involves reading drawings, fabricating parts, and meeting tight tolerances with strict quality and safety standards.

Hours are Monday to Thursday, 4.45pm–2.45am with overtime available. Pay is £21.50 per hour, with overtime opportunities. The role requires precise fabrication and proactive communication with PMs across projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a high precision manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Reading engineering drawings for parts to be fabricated/welded.
• Preparation and fabrication of various sizes of projects.
• Achieving production timings in a timely manner.
• Communicating with Project Managers during production.
• Following all Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental procedures.
• Completing fabrication and recording critical dimensions on inspection reports and performing safety checks.
